We at No Excuses Ministries believe that reaching out to our community and meeting people where they are out is the ultimate cry and mission of the church. The word of God says in Matthew 28:16-20…
The Great Commission
16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go [c]therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [d]Amen.
Our Prayer
Pastor John John and Evangelist Dionne have prayed and asked God for ways that they can be a blessing to the community. God gave Pastor John John the vision to feed the community every month. So in this, we have developed a monthly ‘Cookout for the Community’. This allows us to not only feed our community, but to meet people where they are at, showing the love of God, praying for the needs of the people, and just being there.
The ‘Blessing Closet’
We also have developed the ‘Blessing Closet’. The blessing closet is a small boutique and kitchen that can help take the burden off of those in need by providing some food items, toiletries, clothes, shoes, blankets, home decorations, pots and pans and more. Sometime just being able to provide something small can alleviate finances that can be used for more pressing things.
Pastor John John and Evangelist Dionne believe that everything they do, God gets the glory and that change can happen for everyone, one act of love at a time.
